Ezra 4 Part 3

Application

So what is the “so what” for matters that seem so weighty and challenging?  How do we move information into revelation and become changed people by the Word of God?  These questions and more have been on my heart for days as I have sat with the Lord with all He has shown me through Ezra 4.

I have learned through this lesson that there is wisdom in knowing the tactics and strategies of the enemy and how he comes against me.  Deception, discouragement, fear, negative counselors, accusations, keeping records of my past, speaking to my motives and stopping the work of God in my life are all real attacks that happen, sometimes daily in my life.  With this knowledge, I am able to stand against what Satan is doing and am not sidetracked by his plans for me.  Satan’s only desire is to “kill, steal and destroy me.”  As I become aware of where he is attacking me, I am no longer caught off guard and am able to take my stand, renew my mind, pray spiritual warfare prayers and walk in confession and repentance.

The second part of my “so what”  has to do with me knowing the plans that my Father has for me.  As I have renewed my mind with His plans and purposes I stand confident in the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness to me and to His Word.  Jeremiah 29:11 tells us, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD . “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”  Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”  Confidently knowing my purpose, calling, identity and destiny has been transformational as I have come to walk in agreement with what the Lord is calling me to specifically.  The Lord calls each one of us to move in cooperation with the Spirit of God as He desires to operate in our lives.  Having an open hand and heart to the will of God is a daily choice.  I pray that you will make that daily choice with me and in doing so, we will walk victorious against our enemy and fully obedient to the Lord Jesus our Savior.

For more information about finding out your destiny and calling I would recommend taking the 5 question assessment on Destiny Finder.  It has been eye opening to me and quite transformational as I am looking at how God has uniquely “wired” me and how to best utilize my gifts in the Body of Christ for His glory.  https://destinyfinder.com
