Church in the Park

Sound the Alarm, Arise and Shine body of christ church!

Hello bcc body, family, and tribe…

I bid you blessings upon blessings beyond what is behind you and to get better before you, because you believe in Jesus Christ. May you burst and bubble over with love, grace, and peace from above.

“From His abundance and fullness we have all received grace upon grace (one gracious blessing after another).”  John 1:17

I am thankful for Jesus’ grace giving us His life and It more abundantly by faith, hope, and love, while the greatest of these is love. While i have our attention, i urge us brothers and sisters to know GOD IS GOOD and HIS NATURE IS GOOD. Nothing nor negative in this life must misdirect, indirect, or infect us from being surely first convinced to the GOODNESS of GOD.

You are good, and do good; Teach me Your statutes. Psalm 119:68

The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. Psalm 145:9

We have a fun, fellowshipping,  faith filling, and fulfilling service at the park this coming Sunday.

bcc’s mlt (ministry leadership team) desires you to be prepared to be present, to participate, to be purposed, and to pursue God’s Presence in this BIG SUNDAY that is planned! This email hopes to create clarity and communicate three points.

  1. We want to explain some natural applications for the City of Ames social distancing ordinances we will abide by.
  2. We want to enthusiastically compel you and yours to stay after service and “connect” with others in attendance by  eating a meal provided by bcc for every1one.
  3. Also, here you will find the passages to read that will give you a good foundation to grow close with God and then soar your faith for a challenging and activating treaching talk for this week.

First, here is an excerpt from the City of Ames Mandatory Face-Covering Ordinance:

“It is the intent and belief of the Ames City Council that this ordinance does not conflict with provisions of the Governor of Iowa’s Public Health Disaster Emergency Proclamation regarding

COVID-19 which is currently in effect.

(1) Every person in the City of Ames three (3) years of age or older must wear a face covering that completely covers the person’s nose and mouth under the following circumstances:

a. Outside whenever the person cannot stay at least six (6) feet away from others;

b. Inside any indoor setting or establishment where the public is invited in,

bcc desires greatly that this one outdoor service create a safe and welcoming  environment for every1one to attend. We want both those who favor mask wearing and yet have still been leery of attending inside spaces, and those who favor freedom to not wear masks to surely come. We believe, pray, and declare Christ has corporately prepared to encounter us with the Gospel, HIS Goodness, and HIS Presence out in the open air. So please come and bring ppl who are saved, unsaved, churched, unchurched, and ppl new to the Ames community. That is why we are supporting and seeing the liberty the ordinance is encouraging us. We may have communicated something differently earlier, but these matters and meanings have changed  this week, thus causing us to revise our approach and wanting to create clarity, safety, and liberty for God’s ppl.

“If outside and you can maintain 6 ft distancing then no mask is required. If we can not maintain 6 ft distancing, then masks are required.” From this statement, we are encouraging and recommending wearing face masks, but ask you if you do not want to wear a face mask then please abide by 6 ft distancing with those around you not from your household. We have read Ames City ordinance, another document put out by the Governor’s office, and spoke directly with the Bandshell Park coordinator to determine our best understanding of how to proceed. We hope this is clearer.

Second, following the conclusion of service, one of bcc’s vision and purpose for Church at the Park is to structure a setting for every1one to engage in the much needed spiritual and social “connection” with each other. We were created by Father God for closeness with HIM and each other through connection which is opposed to distancing.

The biblical and humanly means we want to use is through eating a meal together, enjoying the beautiful outdoors, and having fun fellowship by interactions and Christ relations. bcc is providing an assortment of individual quality and nourishing box lunches for safe distribution (gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan dietary needs have been taken into consideration). All you and yours need to do is attend service and stay afterwards to enjoy.

Lastly, please read these scriptures throughout the weekend prior to service so that:

  • you may grasp, gain, and understand the context of the passages

  • It gives you a good foundation to grow close with God and then soar your faith for a challenging and an activating treaching talk (message / sermon) for this week.

  • your spirit will be prompted to engraft from eternity the empowerment to receive “soteria” salvation and/or for you to SAVE THE WORLD by bcc values.

Prep Passages:

Matthew 8: 01-18

Matthew 9: 01-13

Matthew 8: 27

Matthew 9: 16-17

Matthew 8: 28-34

Matthew 9: 18-33

Here are some cues and quests to meditate on as you read these revealing scriptures.

  1. What are some of the bcc vision and values you can find in these scriptures?

  2. Can you easily see “sozo” = ppl being saved, healed, and delivered?

  3. How did Jesus SAVE THE WORLD? How did HE lead, labor, example, & minister to the world?

Well here you go, your emailed Jesus jammed pack package preparing you for our
